Portrait photography, for me, is first and foremost an encounter with a person — their emotions, presence and the story I want to express through an image. As Straw Art (Katarzyna Słomka) I specialize in creating portraits that feel natural while being technically and aesthetically refined. My approach combines a keen eye, many years of experience and sensitivity to light and detail. Why choose me for a portrait session? I focus on building an atmosphere that allows the subject to feel relaxed in front of the camera. We have a short pre-session conversation to define expectations and the visual style — this ensures the results match the personality and purpose of the photos. I guarantee professional post-production and careful selection of compositions so every portrait communicates something meaningful. Specialization: portrait photography and business portraits. While portrait work is my core focus, I also produce professional business images — for LinkedIn profiles, corporate communication or marketing materials. For these shoots I ensure a representative look while preserving authenticity. How I work: I take an individual approach — we agree on style and location, I refine composition and lighting, and where needed I assist with styling and set arrangement. Sessions are conducted with the client's comfort in mind, consistently choosing frames that best reflect the subject’s character. After the shoot I perform selection and professional retouching so the final photos are ready for print, web publication or business use.
