Excellence in Photography - Krzysztof Krawczyk

I am a portrait photographer whose approach is shaped by long experience as a photojournalist. Since exhibiting work in the 1980s I have pursued mood, narrative and that single moment which transforms a frame into a story. I paint with light and shadow, combine styles and search for the simplicity that reveals a subject’s true presence. Portraits are my core specialization. In my modest studio in Wesoła I create an environment that encourages authenticity; I also shoot on location, carefully selecting surroundings that complement rather than dominate the image. I favour an actor-like approach to posing — helping models express emotion rather than adopt standard poses. Working with me always starts with a conversation. We plan the session, discuss styling and expectations, and I prepare a photographic concept. During the shoot I act as a director — gently guiding, advising on posing and styling to achieve genuine, elegant results. I can arrange a make-up artist and hair stylist on request and offer practical styling advice so the portraits remain coherent and timeless. After the session we review the images together and choose the shots to be finished. I typically prepare a few extra frames to give you real choice and confidence in the final selection.
